Skyscanner reveals the top 10 May Day destinations, pre and post-volcano disruptionFollowing massive ash cloud disruption which led to airspace over much of Europe being closed for five days, Skyscanner can reveal that domestic destinations have risen in popularity as May Day bank holiday locations.Examining its pre and post-volcano flight search data, Skyscanner found that although flights to Malaga and Alicante remain the most popular for May Day travel, London and Belfast have risen in popularity substantially.Following the volcano fiasco, London moved up a massive five places displacing Amsterdam, and Belfast was a brand new entry to the top ten.
