Collier is from Kansas City, Mo., and lettered three seasons for Truman High School in Independence, Mo. and one season at Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kan. She was a three-time all-conference, all-district and all-state selection at Truman, including being named Missouri Class 5 First Team All-State as a junior. Collier was a two-time finalist for the prestigious DiRenna Award presented annually to the Kansas City Metro Area Player of the Year. She scored more than 1,200 points in three seasons at Truman behind shooting 49.0 percent from the field. Collier recorded double-figure points in 53 consecutive contests and scored more than 20 points in 20-plus games. She scored 30 or more points on three occasions. As a sophomore, Collier led the Patriots in scoring (15.8) and assists (4.4) and helped her team qualify for the state playoffs.
