Nanborlor F. Singbeh. The defeated Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) Margibi County senatorial candidate, University of Liberia Professor Ansu D. Sonii, protested the outcome of the election and took legal action against both NEC and the winning candidate before the Supreme Court, calling for prohibition against the certification of Mr. Tornonlah. It may be recalled that the certification ceremonies of three of 15 Senators from Bomi, Grand Cape Mount and Margibi Counties elected in the Special Senatorial Elections were placed on hold after injunctions were filed by defeated contestants to both the NEC and the Supreme Court.Complaints and injunctions filed against Grand Cape Mount and Bomi counties’ Senators Cllr. Varney Sherman and Morris Saytumah were a month ago lifted after their opponents dropped all charges against them.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)last_img
