Lady Bulldogs Fall To Lady Lions In Softball

first_imgBatesville Bulldogs hosted the Rushville Lions Thursday night losing 6-1.Rushville struck first in the 3rd with 1 run.  Batesville then was able to tie the game at 1 when they manufactured a run of their own in the 4th. Rushville scored again in the 5th to go up 2-1. Batesville was unable to respond and in the 6th Rushville scored 4 runs with 2 outs with the help of 3 costly errors. Final score 6-1 in favor of Rushville.Key performers for Bulldogs were Bre Hartman & Kara Obermeyer going 2-3. Murphy believes in Only Mine

first_imgThere’s racing today at Punchestown, where the first of a seven-race card will go to post at 5.50. Only Mine was a shock winner of the Bar One Racing Lacken Stakes at Naas last weekend.The filly, who was ridden by Gary Carroll, saw off the challenge of the Aidan O’Brien-trained Washington DC to win by two and three-quarter lengths at the County Kildare track.Joe says Only Mine has a bright future ahead of her.last_img
