Sprecher, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Intercontinental Exchange. “Ellie Mae’s industry leadership and best-of-breed technology will better enable us to further accelerate the automation of the mortgage origination workflow, which will benefit stakeholders across the production chain, including consumers.”Ellie Mae was founded in 1997 with a mission “to automate and digitize the trillion-dollar residential mortgage industry. Through its digital lending platform, Ellie Mae provides technology services to all participants in the mortgage supply chain, including its more than 3,000 customers and thousands of partners and investors participating on their open network who provide liquidity to the market. Lenders rely on Ellie Mae to securely manage and facilitate the exchange of data across the ecosystem to enable the origination of mortgages, while maintaining strict adherence to various local, state and federal compliance requirements,” according to a statement today.Intercontinental Exchange’s efforts to help automate the mortgage workflow began with its majority investment in the Mortgage Electronic Registrations System (MERS) in 2016, which it fully acquired in 2018. The strategy continued with the acquisition of Simplifile in 2019, furthering a focus on digitizing the closing and post-closing process for U.S. mortgages. The core focus of Ellie Mae’s technology, experience, and network is in the mortgage origination process, connecting brokers, underwriters and lenders. The Cheat River, in the vicinity of Albright, W.Va., has long been plagued by pollution and acid mine drainage. So much so that many of the rocks downstream of Albright remain stained rust brown to this day. Since the 1990’s, however, the Cheat has been making a slow comeback, in large part due to extraordinary efforts by the river advocacy group Friends of the Cheat. This year Friends of the Cheat hosted its 23rd annual Cheat River Festival. Cheat River Fest draws paddlers and water lovers from far and wide to help raise money, support, and awareness for the beautiful Cheat River. You never know what to expect for spring weather in West Virginia. We were told Cheat Fest was notorious for rain. Friday, which happened to be the first-ever Cheat Fest Friday, was a beautiful day. When we rolled into the festival grounds it was sunny and in the high 70s.It was perfect weather for the downriver race. We were able to set up in time to catch the hundred or so paddlers as they raced past the campground put-in. As the sun went down Friday night, though, so did the temperature. It began pouring down rain Friday night as the temperature dipped well into the low 40s. The rain continued and the temperature stayed cold all day Saturday. The Cheat Fest crowd didn’t skip a beat. The vibe of the entire crowd stayed overwhelmingly positive and the stoke stayed high, even as the festival grounds became a massive mud pit. We can’t say enough about the kindness that we experienced all weekend. It makes you wonder what it would be like if everyone had an attitude like the Cheat Fest crowd. Cheat Fest held up its reputation for being fun for the entire family. The kids tent was a place for little ones to learn skills, create crafts, and meet other kids. This year’s theme was “Water Unites Us.” Some of the activities included a comUNITY scavenger hunt, group mural, and like prior years crafts made with recycled materials and acid mine drainage tie dye.As always, you could find us holding down the Blue Ridge Outdoors booth, repping our favorite magazine, talking about our favorite outdoors brands, and enjoying the killer music lineup that Cheat Fest is known for. On Sunday we teamed up with Patrick from Blackwater Outdoor Adventures to give back with a Cheat River cleanup. The weather, which called for possible snow, was rough. That didn’t stop us from showing up to do our part to keep the Cheat clean. The water was a little high and fast to get in canoes, so we cleared the banks in Rowlesburg town park of all the trash we could find.To find out more, we encourage you to visit the Friends of the Cheat website and get involved in any way that you can.Up next we’ll be hitting the 31st Appalachian Trail Days in Damascus, Va. For those interested, we’ll also be participating in a little trail magic on the Thursday before the festival. We’ll be teaming up with Sundog Outfitter – Adventure Damascus to catch hikers coming into town and spread the love of the white blaze. Hope to see everyone May 18-20 in Damascus!_____________________________________________________________Like the gear we’re rockin’ ? Claudio Ranieri wants to sign a new striker before the transfer window closes and the Leicester boss is “very confident” of doing so. Allowing Andrej Kramaric to go out on loan to German club Hoffenheim has left Ranieri with just three strikers and the Italian would like to lessen the burden on main man Jamie Vardy. Leicester’s leading marksman has netted 15 Barclays Premier League goals this season but he has gone six league games without scoring. Press Association Ranieri reckons letting Kramaric spend the rest of the season at Hoffenheim will be good for all parties. The 24-year-old has joined the Bundesliga side after failing to break into the Leicester team since Ranieri’s arrival in the summer. “I think in this moment he needs to reinvigorate his mind because in my mind he is a very good player,” said the City boss. “He has very good skills and qualities, but this season is difficult for him to play with me. “He can’t lose this season because it is very important for him, and for us. I t is important he goes to the European Championships. It is better for the team, the club and for the player for him to go and play.” Croatian Kramaric, who joined Leicester a year ago from Rijeka in his homeland, moved to Hoffenheim on Wednesday and has since said in an interview with goal.com that “My English adventure is behind me now”. Responding to the player’s suggestion that he no longer sees his future at the King Power Stadium, Ranieri said: “I don’t know (if his Leicester career is over). It is important for him now, in his career, to show his quality. “I wish him all the best, he deserves it. He is a very nice boy.” “We have our eyes open,” said Ranieri. “If there is a good opportunity for us, we are ready. Now I want another attacking player – a striker. “I am very confident. My staff is fabulous, every day they are working, because when I ask about something they are ready. “I’d like to do my business as soon as possible.” Asked about the type of striker he would like to bring to the club, Ranieri said: ” Andrej wasn’t the main striker, he was more behind Vardy. “But behind Vardy I prefer Leonardo Ulloa and Shinji Okazaki, because Ulloa covers the ball very well, he’s a fighter, and Okazaki is another who presses everybody every second. “Kramaric has fantastic skill but sometimes he rests and recovers. This team can’t recover, they need to run, run, run. “When I say we are building a good team, I would like to have two players for each position, so when I change, you don’t see the difference. “Kramaric didn’t play, I have Ulloa, Okazaki and Vardy so I need one more I can change so the result is the same, I will have good strikers on the pitch.”
Rio de Janeiro: Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo has expressed the hope that Brazil teammate Neymar will return to the Catalan club, less than 18 months after his world-record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).Neymar has scored 44 goals in 49 matches for the French side but there has been speculation that the 26-year-old is unhappy and angling for a return to the Camp Nou.“Personally, I’m praying that he comes because he is a great player,” Arthur was quoted as saying by Brazil’s Uol news portal on Tuesday, reports Xinhua news agency.“That’s unquestionable. The more top qualify players we have, the better [for Barcelona]. But only he knows. I don’t how if there are negotiations and possibilities of him coming back. He is a personal friend and a footballer who I admire a lot. I’d be really happy if he came back,” he added.Neymar won two La Liga titles, a Champions League title, three Spanish Cups, a Spanish Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in a four-year spell at Barcelona. “We want to greatly applaud the National Assembly for the passage of the NFF Bill. It is a major victory by, and legacy for, the present NFF administration. A lot of effort went into pushing the Bill, and we are very happy that it has finally been passed.“Indeed, the passage of the bill, and if assented to by Mr. President, will strengthen our resolve and provide framework to fast-track our objectives to make football an integral part of the Nigeria economy as is happening in some other countries across the globe.”Wednesday’s passage by the Senate means the entire National Assembly has endorsed the document (the House of Representatives having earlier passed it), with only President Buhari’s assent remaining for the Bill to become law.An outline of the NFF Bill shows that it, among other things, repealed the NFA Act and established NFF; recognizes football as a National Asset entitled to special privileges and concessions; recognizes the NFF Statutes as supreme law for football administration in Nigeria; recognizes that the Federation and its members shall be self-governed by the Federation; recognizes NFF as a private sector –driven and self –governing non-profit body; recognizes that all disputes should be resolved by alternate dispute resolution mechanisms enshrined in the Statutes, with FIFA and CAS as final bus-stops and; that membership of NFF being voluntary, all members/participants shall be deemed to have waived rights to take internal disputes to ordinary courts of law.It also provided for the NFF to publish its annual audited accounts and to keep same for inspection by members; clear –cut process on how Government will support the NFF through grants, subventions and appropriations; clear –cut process for Government to confer benefits, concessions and tax rebates on companies sponsoring football; organize and operate its secretariat and employ staff under its standard employments contract as done in the private sector; streamline and enhance transparency in transfer of players; provides the framework for the domestication of the NFF and FIFA Statutes and; provides clear-cut process for Government to support football by giving the National Broadcaster funds to buy broadcast rights from NFF and the Leagues at commercially viable terms and broadcast football events through the networks.… Says the Federation is not DistractedSpeaking on Sunrise programme on Channels Television on Friday morning, President of Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick assured that his administration is not perturbed by any efforts by certain elements to distract it from its noble commitment to ensuring adequate preparation and participation of all National Teams in international competitions. His assurance comes on the heels of a similar statement on Wednesday by NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, that the Federation is fully focused on the international championships and major matches of the several National Teams in the remaining part of the year, which are numerous.“We are not distracted at all. We have so many National Teams engaged in preparation or actual participation in major competitions presently, and cannot afford to lose focus.“Our commitment to ensure that our teams harness glory for the country from each and every match and competition has not waned in any way.”On Friday, the Nigeria U20 boys kick-started their participation in the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup finals in Poland with their Group D opener against Qatar, with games against USA and Ukraine to come. The Senior Women National Team, Super Falcons, are presently in Austria undergoing a two –week residential camping before flying to France for the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals, where they play Norway, Korea Republic and host nation France in the group phase. The Senior Men National Team, Super Eagles, will begin their camping programme for the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations (taking place in Egypt) in nine days’ time in Asaba, and have to play Burundi, Guinea and Madagascar in the group phase at the tournament taking place 21st June – 19th July.Similarly, the Home –based Senior Men Team (Eagles B), U23 National Team, U20 Women National Team, U17 Boys National Team and the Supersand Eagles have major championships to prosecute before the end of the year, just as the Super Eagles, U20 girls and U17 girls have World Cup qualifying games at hand.Share this:FacebookRedditTwitterPrintPinterestEmailWhatsAppSkypeLinkedInTumblrPocketTelegram President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick has described as ‘the real next level’ for Nigerian Football development, the passage by the Senate of the Federal Republic on Wednesday of the NFF Bill, which automatically repealed the long –standing NFA Act.A delighted Pinnick told thenff.com that the NFF Bill’s passage is the biggest enabling environment for Nigerian Football to thrive provided by any Government over the decades, and applauded the President Muhammadu Buhari administration for consolidating on its numerous and credible moves that have provided lifeblood and impetus for the Nigeria game.“The NFF remains forever grateful to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for the several praiseworthy moves and policies that have boosted the development of football administration and organization in Nigeria over the past four years.
